Grant Junghans and the Shop Quik Racing team invaded the Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Okla., for the inaugural Halloween Havoc on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30-Nov. 1. It was a frighteningly good weekend for the G-Man to say the least. On Thursday, he earned the Pole Award after coming from last to first in his heat race. He started fifth on the grid and brought home a solid eighth-place finish. It got even better on Friday as he backed up the previous night's effort with another Pole Award. In the main event, Grant hung close to the leaders throughtout the 40-lapper and wound up third at the checkered flag nestled in between Rodney Sanders, Kelly Shryock, Jeremy Payne and Jason Hughes. Saturday was not as fruitful, but the No. 2 MB Customs Modified was still bad fast. After finishing second in his "B" Main, mechnical troubles sidelined him early in the 50-lap finale. The team rolls on to the Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La., next weekend for the 8th Annual USMTS Winter Nationals.
