Grant and the Shop Quik Racing team competed in the King of America V, March 26-28, at the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kan. With two days and four total qualifying heat races, Junghans finished 8th, 4th, 6th and 5th which put him 40th in points and a spot in the second Last Chance race on Saturday. He won that handily to advance to the “C” Main where mechanical problems relegated the No. 2 MB Customs machine to a 22nd place finish.
A total of 82 cars and drivers were on hand for the three-day affair which will be broadcast to a national television audience this summer on MAVTV.
The team will be back on the USMTS trail on Thursday, April 9, at the Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas.
