Grant gets runner-up finish at Longdale

Grant Junghans and the Shop Quik Racing team headed to the Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Okla., on Friday, April 10, for what was supposed to be a two-day event that was an early week do-over after rain in Texas canceled races there.

In Friday's USMTS main event, Junghans registered his best USMTS finish of the 2015 campaign with a second-place effort behind Johnny Scott in the 30-lap main event.

Unfortunately, wet weather invaded overnight and Saturday's show was canceled with the team heading back hom to Manhattan, Kan.

The team will be back on the USMTS trail on Friday and Saturday, April 17-18, at the Flint Creek Speedway in Colcord, Okla., and Salina Highbanks Speedway near Pryor Creek, Okla.
