Grant Junghans and the No. 2 Shop Quik Racing Team rallied from the 20th place starting position to 6th during the '7th Annual Nebraska Spring Thaw' at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska.
Fourty-five USMTS Modifieds were in action.
The evening began with Junghans finishing 4th from the 6th starting position in the Eibach Springs Heat Race number 4. He then raced his way into the stout starting field by finishing fourth in the B Main. It was there Grant meticulously worked his way through the field, advancing 14 positions. Grant was in the center of a thrilling battle for 4th-7th position, and was as high as fourth before being forced down the track in an attempted block from another competitor.
The team will head to 81 Speedway this weekend for the NCRA Modified season opener.
